Meet The Editor

The Network Systems DesignLine site is managed by Editor Carolyn Mathas.

Carolyn Mathas comes to Network Systems DesignLine after serving as the site editor for Programmable Logic DesignLine. She was formerly a West Coast Correspondent for CleanRooms Magazine, and a Sr. Editor of Lightwave Magazine, a business-to-business publication covering fiber optic communications.

Mathas provided ghost writing services for Lucent Microelectronics for more than five years, and has also written for National Semiconductor and Philips Semiconductor Division. Her ghostwritten articles, spanning a myriad of technologies, are published in Photonics, Portable Design, Wireless Systems Design, Photonics Spectra, Laser Focus World, Lightwave, Automotive Engineering, and EETimes. Mathas also provided PR and marketing expertise to several clients including Philips, Mysticom Semiconductor, and Altera's Santa Cruz Division. She also was Director of Marketing at security IC startup Securealink.

Mathas earned her BS in Marketing at University of Phoenix. Before entering the world of technology, she was a registered representative with Merrill Lynch, EFHutton, and Dean Witter. Mathas is currently on the Board of Directors of Family Services of the Central Coast, and is active in her Santa Cruz Mountain community.
