CipherOptics an innovator of solutions for Protecting Data in Motion, today announced its participation in the Gartner IT Security Summit 2006, a premier industry event exploring solutions in security technologies, methodologies, products and services. At the Summit CipherOptics will debut functionality enhancements to its SG1002 and SG100 security gateways, further extending the value of internal network protection.

CipherOptics is also announcing additional features for CryptoView, its device and policy manager that provides tools to lower the cost of managing data protection solutions. As the market demands a more comprehensive solution for ensuring the security of data in transit over IP networks, the Summit provides an opportunity for attendees to learn firsthand how CipherOptics’ Security Gateway family of products enables enterprises and government agencies to maximize security deployments and protect high performance networks.

"With the industry responding to increasing requirements to protect data in motion, it's more important than ever for enterprises to deploy solutions that deliver maximum protection without negatively impacting the network, application or operational cost," says Brandon Hoff, chief marketing officer of CipherOptics. "By participating in the Gartner IT Security Summit 2006, we have the opportunity to show executives how they can protect their data, their customers' data and their business."

With advanced functionality including integrated remote access authentication for distributed client access; stronger enforcement of passwords; and advanced features enabling it to participate in CipherOptics' Enterprise Data Protection Architecture, the enhanced SG1002 and SG100 now add greater utility for enterprises to deploy data protection solutions to secure sensitive virtual networks and protect wireless end-to-end.

As customers deploy and manage data protection solutions they need tools to ease installation, insure correct configuration and that provide the ability to monitor and manage ongoing security operations. CipherOptics CryptoView 2.0 offers security gateway configuration, policy population and manageability of client access products. CipherOptics CryptoView provides enterprises the tools they need to lower the cost of managing security solutions as they deploy them enterprise-wide.

These lenhancements further demonstrate CipherOptics' commitment to providing customers with the innovative solutions they need to deploy data protection solutions across their environment. To meet customer demand, the Company recently launched its Data Protection Partner Program, to help its partners grow their business and bring essential data protection solutions to their customers. CipherOptics also announced a partnership with Extreme Networks to offer a joint solution that would secure network switching fabric with policy-based security and strong encryption to protect data across the network. Most recently, CipherOptics released its Ethernet Security Gateway that secures data in transit over high-speed Ethernet Campus Networks, Metro Ethernet Networks and even internal core networks with no impact on current network operations, regardless of protocol.
